West Footscray Festival of Colour – Holi Festival
On Sunday the 26th of March, the inner west celebrated cultural diversity week with an eruption of vibrant colour, music and dance at the West Footscray Festival of Colour. The sun was smiling down on us and the air was balmy. The festival kicked off just shy of Harmony Day but the message of celebrating our cultural diversity was still the same. We all belong in this amazing community of ours and with the collaborative efforts of West Footscray Neighbourhood House, Maribyrnong City Council, the traders of Barkley Village and surrounds, our quiet little thoroughfare was transformed in to a splash of cultural delights and celebration! So grateful be apart of this amazing community.
My stomping ground is the inner west (Footscray, West Footscray, Yarraville, Kingsville, Seddon, Maidstone, Newport, Williamstown, Taylors Hill).
