Rocking up to Jemma’s home family lifestyle photography session, I was greeted at the door by super smiley little Arlo. Still a little shy, (most kids are initially), I certainly didn’t whip out the camera from the get go. I hung out with him, dove into his toy box and had some serious fun time playing Thomas the Tank Engine. (I totally get the Thomas obsession as my boy’s fixation began at 1 and didn’t end til 6!!) By the time the session was over, we were besties. This happens all the time at my family sessions. You see that’s the beauty of in home lifestyle sessions. Clients are already at ease in the cosy comfort of their own space. The session is strictly on THEIR terms.
Walking through their scandi style home ((LOOOVE)) I became aquatinted with Bonnie, the fur baby. She was so soft and gentle with everyone and very much a part of the family. I’m all for including family pets in sessions. I actually encourage clients to include them. Baby Louis just shy of 6 months was all smiles and loved all the attention for the moment I walked in.
A day doesn’t go by that I don’t thank my lucky stars. I have such beautifully open and chilled out clients, who invite me into their personal space to capture their big love for one another. You guys absolutely rock!
