I love that I get to go to my client’s home when they bring their new baby home. Time and time again clients keep telling me how much they love it too. The first few weeks getting to know your newest family member and settling in to home life needs to be stress free as possible. You don’t need to go on a cleaning frenzy through your home, I wont be running my finger along the mantlepiece checking for dust, hahaha. Lifestyle newborn sessions are about you and your little tribe of people. Shove the clothes that are on the floor, in the closet or kick them under the bed if need be. ;) The rooms I use for a lifestyle newborn session are; the main bedroom, nursery and maybe the living room. I choose which space offers the best natural light and work with it.
Older siblings (like Scarlett here) will be my boss for the day. They call the shots! :) I can guarantee you we’ll be best buddies by the time I need to leave!! What I’m wanting out of your session is a series of beautiful and moving images that tell your story and celebrate your family unit with all your perfect imperfections. Embracing the chaos when there are older siblings around and being in the moment of those quiet and delicate snuggles.
My stomping ground is the inner west (Footscray, West Footscray, Yarraville, Kingsville, Seddon, Maidstone, Newport, Williamstown, Taylors Hill).
